Free Expression Tunnel

An Iconic NC State Landmark

The Free Expression Tunnel is one of NC State’s 10 Hallowed Places. The tunnel provides students a place to express their thoughts and feelings – everything from “happy birthday” to club meeting announcements. Grab some spray paint and make your mark!

Wolf Plaza, located near the Free Expression Tunnel, features a striking trio of bronze wolf sculptures created by artist Michael Stutz. The plaza is a popular destination for first day of class and graduation photos.
