Albright Entrepreneurship Garage

Home to Student Innovators

The Entrepreneurship Garage is a 24/7 venture creation and prototyping space on Centennial Campus designed for student entrepreneurs. It gives NC State students a place to bring ideas to life, whether through designing physical prototypes, collaborating in coworking spaces or joining the programs, workshops and mentorships across entrepreneurial disciplines.

Inside the Garage, you’ll find a full prototyping lab with tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, digital printing and woodworking equipment, reservable conference rooms and phone booths, meeting spaces and communal areas. The floor-to-ceiling windows and industrial design aesthetic invite creativity and collaboration.

Membership is open to all degree-seeking NC State students. Members make use of the prototyping tools, co-working areas and the programming, which includes workshops, meet-ups and peer networking, to support their venture creation journeys.

3D Tour Description

The Entrepreneurship Garage is a collaborative innovation space designed to support student startups, project development and interdisciplinary teamwork. The space features an open, modern layout that emphasizes flexibility, transparency and hands-on creation.

The main area is organized as a large, open workspace with high ceilings, exposed structural elements and polished concrete floors. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass entryways bring in natural light, creating a bright and accessible environment. A central kitchen and bar-style seating area serves as a gathering point, with high-top stools, built-in appliances and counter space that supports both informal meetings and extended work sessions.

Surrounding the open workspace are enclosed meeting rooms with glass walls, allowing for both privacy and visibility. These rooms include tables, chairs and presentation tools for team collaboration, brainstorming and small group discussions. Additional open seating areas throughout the space include lounge chairs, tables and flexible work surfaces that can accommodate individual or group use.

A prominent open staircase leads to an upper-level mezzanine, which overlooks the main floor and provides additional workspace. The multi-level design maintains visual connection across the space while increasing capacity for collaboration and project work.
