Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Centennial Campus is NC State’s public, 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Course. It’s a place where varsity competition, academic research and community recreation intersect. Designed by the Arnold Palmer Design Company, the course is open to students, faculty and the public alike.
More than just a beautiful course layout, Lonnie Poole also plays an active educational role. It serves as a research and training facility for NC State’s Turfgrass Management program, and contributes to studies in stormwater management and ecological protection. The Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse also offers more than golfer amenities, including classrooms, pro shop, dining and a bar.
