3D Tour Description
The Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center is designed with a timeless, “Georgian-style” elegance. Located on the shores of Lake Raleigh on Centennial Campus, this 59,000-square-foot facility serves as the formal “living room” for NC State alumni.
The main entrance and lobby are defined by classic, high-end architecture. Upon entering, the focal points are two symmetrical, mahogany-railed staircases that sweep up to the second floor and Italian marble flooring that reflects the light from large crystal chandeliers. This central hall boasts 28-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a panoramic view of Lake Raleigh.
The interior is divided into several conference spaces and formal rooms, each with a distinct atmosphere. Large, ornate fireplaces are located in the main reception areas and private dining rooms, adding to the “home-away-from-home” feel. Located on the second floor, the Chancellor’s Reception Room is a more intimate, upscale space often used for VIP gatherings and university ceremonies. The center also boasts its own restaurant, Lakeside Kitchen, a casual yet refined restaurant and bar area where alumni and visitors can dine with views of the water.
