It’s a central hub for meals and casual gatherings on Centennial Campus.
3D Tour Description
On the Oval Food Hall is a sleek, modern dining destination located on the lower level of the Wolf Ridge Apartments. It is designed to serve as a central social and culinary hub for students and faculty. The food hall features a clean, industrial-chic aesthetic with high ceilings, exposed structural elements, and a mix of wood and vibrant accent colors, including purple, green and orange.
There is a vast amount of indoor seating, ranging from high-top tables with lime green stools to traditional dining tables. Large floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and offer views of the campus Oval green space. Beyond standard dining, there are semi-private lounge nooks with comfortable leather armchairs and circular coffee tables, perfect for small group meetings or relaxing between classes. The food hall opens directly onto a landscaped patio area with picnic tables, allowing for “al fresco” dining. There are clear displays for nutrition information and a variety of dietary-friendly options, including gluten-friendly choices at the salad bar.
There are several distinct “micro-restaurants” in the food hall with engineering-themed names:
- Newton’s Grill: A diner-style station serving made-to-order burgers, chicken sandwiches and fries.
- Flashpoint Global: An Asian-inspired station focusing on stir-fry dishes and made-to-order bowls.
- Cold Fusion: A build-your-own salad bar and deli station that also offers panini sandwiches and grab-and-go wraps.
- Fahrenheit: Features an oven for artisan pizzas and calzones, as well as rotisserie-style home-style entrees.
- Gravity Café: A dedicated coffee and breakfast spot for early-morning service.
