A Space for Music at NC State

The Department of Performing Arts and Technology provides music and dance opportunities for students and community members through a variety of courses, experiences and performances. The department offers more than 90 academic courses, more than 20 performance groups, a degree in music technology and minor programs in arts entrepreneurship, dance and music.

In Price, you’ll find students who are involved in our music performance ensembles, NC State’s Power Sound of the South® marching band and other affiliated student organizations. Practice rooms are available to all current NC State students, faculty and staff on a first-come, first-served basis. Standard practice rooms have an upright piano and music stand.

Additional spaces overseen by the Department of Performing Arts and Technology are located in Carmichael Gymnasium and Broughton Hall.
