Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center
An Aquatic Hub for Champions and Community
The Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center serves as the home of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs and is widely regarded as one of the top collegiate aquatic facilities in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The center has hosted numerous ACC Championship meets and is known for having one of the fastest competition pools in the conference. The facility includes two primary pools—a 50-meter Olympic-style competition pool and a separate 25-yard pool with a diving well—along with seating for approximately 1,000 spectators, creating an environment suited for both elite competition and large-scale events.
The program and facility are also connected to a strong Olympic tradition, highlighted by alumnus Cullen Jones, an Olympic gold medalist who competed for NC State and went on to become one of the most accomplished sprinters in U.S. swimming history. Beyond competition, the Casey Aquatic Center is a comprehensive training and recreation facility that supports swim classes, club sports and public lap swimming, reinforcing its role as both a high-performance training venue and a central aquatic hub for the university community.
