Where Science Comes Together
Located in the heart of Main Campus on the Brickyard, Woodson Hall is the home of NC State’s Integrative Sciences Initiative, bringing students and faculty from across disciplines together to learn, collaborate and make new discoveries.
Set to open in early 2027, the 153,000-square-foot building features five levels of cutting-edge research labs, active-learning classrooms, collaboration areas and community spaces. Here, fields like chemistry, biology, physics, engineering and mathematics come together to tackle complex challenges and explore new ideas.
Woodson Hall is designed to put science on display. The building’s first two floors invite the NC State community to experience science beyond the traditional classroom, with glass-walled teaching spaces, public art, gathering areas and the Catalyst Cafe. Throughout the building, students will have opportunities to learn alongside researchers and experience the interdisciplinary, hands-on approach that defines NC State.
